Privacy policy

Last reviewed: October 2026. This policy should be reviewed by the business owner and, where appropriate, a legal adviser before publication.

Infexcel Recoveries ("we", "us") is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, in relation to credit information, Part IIIA of that Act and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code. This policy explains how we handle personal information.

What we collect

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions: debt recovery and related services. This may include names, contact details, dates of birth, account and transaction information, correspondence, payment details, and information about financial circumstances provided for hardship assessment. We collect it from our clients (creditors), from the individuals concerned, from publicly available sources and from lawful commercial data providers.

How we use it

We use personal information to verify debts, contact debtors, negotiate and record payment arrangements, locate individuals who cannot be contacted, prepare matters for legal recovery, report to our clients, comply with our legal obligations and, where consent has been given, to send marketing communications to business contacts.

Disclosure

We disclose personal information to the creditor client to whom the debt relates, to legal practitioners engaged on a matter, to credit reporting bodies where permitted by law, to our service providers (such as hosting, telephony and mail providers) under confidentiality obligations, and where required or authorised by law. We do not sell personal information.

Website and analytics

Our website records basic, first-party usage information (page viewed, referring site, campaign parameters and a short-lived anonymised identifier) to understand how the site is used. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Enquiry forms collect the information you enter plus the page and campaign through which you arrived.

Marketing communications

We send marketing emails only to business contacts who have consented or with whom we have an existing business relationship, in accordance with the Spam Act 2003. Every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link, which we action immediately. Debtor contact details are never used for marketing.

Security and storage

Information is stored in our own recovery platform with access restricted to staff who need it, encrypted in transit and protected by access controls and regular backups. Our systems are hosted on servers located in Malaysia, operated by our hosting provider; we take reasonable steps to ensure information held there is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. Our email service is also provided by Hostinger and may store or process messages outside Australia. We retain information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and to meet legal obligations, then destroy or de-identify it.

Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting office@infexcelrecoveries.com.au or 03 6776 3111. If you believe we have mishandled your information you can complain to us using our complaints process; if you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
